Can A Property Manager Charge To View A Rental? | REALTOR ...

Q: My wife and I are currently looking for an apartment to rent, and when we responded to an ad on Craigslist the property manager said that he required a $20 fee to view the listing. The fee is only refundable if you rent the listing. Is this legal?

A: I do not know the rules and regulations for New Orleans?they are different here in Oregon ? best to ask a lawyer legal questions though instead of realtors?you will at least get the right answer then!
